Dear Second Episcopal District Family:

Have you viewed the Rev. Dr. Otis Moss’s III, sobering YouTube video message, “Democracy Is on the Ballot? It’s a must-view for all of society. I am sharing this video as a black man, a man of faith, and a voting American. It inspired me to remember that the challenge is one that each of us, as individuals, must play a role in this election process.

As Black people and the Black Church in America, we are being called to speak out against the blatant attempts to restrict or bar the voting rights and many other rights of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) within unjust systems of racism and discrimination in our Nation.

As stated in this thought-provoking video, “Democracy is on the Ballot,” he passionately shares that the government at all levels must be pressured to discharge its moral and ethical obligation to create an equitable and just society for all.

Your vote, voice, and actions make it clear to our politicians and governmental officials that there are individuals in our State and our Nation who aspire to live out the true meaning of our creed of “One Nation, Under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.”

Please view the video and share it with those in your household, other relatives, friends, and your community - locally and globally.

Remember, DEMOCRACY IS ON THE BALLOT! Let’s save souls by getting “Our Soles to the Polls!

In the spirit of the REAL Church: Still Daring to Believe – “We Are the Difference.”

I remain, James Lever Davis
